As reported, there were 103,000 domestic and international visitors in total last year who participated in homestays. We have developed several new products to attract you to follow suit the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board’s promotion to Singaporeans, whereby homestays are something they are keen to push to leisure and corporate incentive segments here in Singapore. From Zalizam’s forecast of Singapore arrivals in 2009 to surpass the 11 million mark reached in 2008, and overall arrivals from Singapore over the first eight months of the year grew 13 per cent to 8.2 million. TRANSFER OF PENANG (PEN) ROUTE FROM SINGAPORE AIRLINES TO SILKAIR
From 1 December 2009, SilkAir will be operating a daily morning service to Penang, taking over from Singapore Airlines’ daily SQ192/ SQ191 service. Customers who have made advance bookings to fly the SIN-PEN route on Singapore Airlines on or after 1 December 2009 will be re-accommodated on the next best alternative SilkAir flights.
